Creativity *is* global

MeanestIndian – who is currently teaching at NID, Ahmedabad – has this image of rope made from used Tide plastic bags up on her Flickr site.

While reading this post on Richard Florida’s blog , this paragraph struck me,

Talent has been always been global.  The real issue is not so much
where it comes from, but where it ends up.  The places that win are the
ones that attract and harness talent.  America’s had a long-standing
advantage there – at least until recently.  Hard to hold onto that
lead, though, when talented people from other countries have trouble
getting in.  Now, thriving centers are taking root in lots of places
around the globe.
